Very occasionally we will decide that one of our adult hogs or retirees would be better off getting more one on one attention in a new loving home. Most of our hogs are happy with the daily attention they get and have no issues being in a big herd and when they retire will remain here as pets only but there are some that crave more cuddles or more roam time and we feel it is only fair to give them that opportunity, we even retire some hedgehogs early for just this reason!
These hedgehogs leave us with pet only contracts and often make very good first time owner pets.
We do require all retirees to go to homes that will regularly update us with their progress, they are afterall part of the Ouchmouse House family and are very dear to us!

We also may for whatever reason have a hedgehog return to us, as we do offer this in our standard contract. This is to ensure we can find a suitable new home and try to prevent them being passed around, traded or end up in rescue. These hedgehogs will also be advertised here.

Our re-homes and retirees will have already developed personalities so therefore we will be looking for the perfect matches in new owners. If you are not approved for a specific hedgehog please don’t be disheartened we may just feel that you are not quite the right match for each other!
Re-homes and Retirees will leave us registered, with their own contract which can be found on the contract page and with a carepack for £100, (In the rare case of a young hoglet being returned the prices may differ).
